Medical Assistance to Pre-January,.1986 Retirees or their family members & Data base for Retirees

We sincerely thank the Bank for revision of medical assistance to pre-January 1, 1986 retirees or their members of families vide the Bank’s circular number CO HRMD G 81/S 15507/21.02.00/2023. -24 dated 6h March 2024.
We have been bringing to the kind notice of the Bank, amongst others, sufferings of pre-January 1986 retirees or their family members through our appeals, from time to time, as this section of RBI community deserves sympathetic consideration from the Bank. VWe also be permitted to request you to convey our gratitude to our respected Governor for this kind gesture. Permit us also to thank the Bank’s hierarchy who have taken quick steps under your sympathetic and able leadership, following revision of pension and family pension in RBI.
Further, the pre-January 1986 retirees, as also retirees post introduction of pension scheme w.e.f. January 1986, belong to pretty long period, and maintenance of their data is of utmost importance since the pension scheme is introduced in the Bank. Pemit us to state that at times data of them is not that updated, causing inordinate delay in some cases while doing revision work. We, therefore, have to appeal to you to kindly look into this aspect of maintenance of data and direct the administration to make permanent arrangement to maintain proper data of retirees of the Bank on an ongoing basis. Besides, proper maintenance of data base would help the Bank to carry on work smoothly and accurately. In this regard, we had appealed in the past
to the Bank and also brought to the kind notice, the eurees data is maintained up-to-date We aredr e o Central Govt. where lakhs of
ret impressions that maintenance of proper data base ofa few thousand retirees of RBI is not at all difficult thing to the Central Bank of our nation. Kindly permit us to state that while making this suggestion we have at the back of mind our recent experiences in the matter.
